It is the dungeon on the east of the Seven Siblings Dungeons in the south of the walls. It is accepted as one the most beautiful works of Seljuks Era. With the command of Seljuks Ruler Meliksah in 1089, it was built by Ebu Nasr Muhammed and building expert Urfali Selame’s son Muhammed. Running horse, lion, deer, and woman figures have been decorated in form of teazling on the walls. “Nude Woman” teazling, which is rarely seen in Islam iconography, is also remarkable. Nur Dungeon, having the richest teazlings among Diyarbakir Dungeons, is very attractive with: two smiling lions, two deer getting ready to collide with each other, two horses in movement without horse riders, two eagles ready to fly away taking their hunting, two nude women sitting in cross-legs. Tails and wings of the bird portrays seen here are open. This means power.
